Existing as a wing of the local Ramakrishna Ashrama since 1929, the centre was handed over to Sri Sarada Math in June 1968 and conducts the following activities:

Daily worship and observance of religious and cultural functions.

Cultural activities: Weekly religious classes for devotees and students were held on Sundays, while yearly Youth Camps were conducted in April – May under the auspices of Nivedita Youth Association for Self Awareness and Service, a project undertaken by the centre.

Balika Gurukulam or hostel for girl-students. (No. of students: 26)

High School and Higher Secondary Unit (Class XI & XII) for girls in three batches : Science, Commerce and Humanity streams counted 752 and 310 students respectively. Every year the results of these sections were excellent.

Regular classes  and occasional lectures in and outside the centre continued as before.

 Tailoring Classes are conducted for the village women (average attendance : 50).

Financial, educational and medical help is given to poor and needy people and students of nearby localities. Clothes, food materials and pecuniary help is given on special occasions, while Onam kits containing 10 kg. of rice, 1 kg. coconut oil, 1 kg. sambar dal, chilly powder etc. are given to needy families every year.

Narayana Seva—feeding of the people was done as before.
