Started in February 1990 on about 7 bighas of agricultural land, 35 km from Kolkata, the centre conducts the following charitable activities:

Nivedita Pathbhavan, a free primary school for under privileged children from pre-1 to class IV of the surrounding villages. About 289 Children are provided with books, uniforms, medicines whenever needed, tiffin and midday meals everyday. Clothes and warm garments were given to them twice a year.

Religious and cultural classes for the village women in and outside the centre. A handicraft exhibition every year.
Charitable homeopathic dispensary for women and children twice a week. It often conducts free medical camp also. An eye section has also been started.
Sevakendra, a health clinic for women and children treated 7579 patients. Medicines worth Rs.29,549/- were distributed free. Financial help for medical treatment and supply of medicines and nutritious food to needy women and children as well as distribution of clothes and blankets at the time of Durga Puja and in winter. A pathological laboratory is also started. The clinic shifted to its own new building in February 2000.
Tailoring and embroidery classes for ladies: The vocational school for the village women about 20 are imparted training, embroidery and other handicrafts.
Literacy classes for about 40 women are held regularly in collaboration with Vivek Chetana and training in cottage industry.

Birthdays of prophets and saints as well as some festivals are duly observed.
Religious and cultural classes for ladies in and outside the centre. A new Auditorium cum Community Hall was inaugurated on 23.9.2005.
