Sri Sarada Math, Bhuvaneswar, Orissa

Formally opened in June 1987 on gifted land at a central place on Puri Road near the famous Lingaraj Temple. The centre conducts daily puja and fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan and birthday celebrations of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other great world teachers.

A plot of land was acquired adjacent to the Math premises where a suitable building was constructed to run the school and other charitable activities.


Class Room

The centre conducts a free primary school for poor children including neighbouring slum children, provides free Tiffin, free uniform, free educational articles.



Coaching classes are conducted for underprivileged children. Tiffin, uniforms, books etc., are distributed to the children free.

A Charitable dispensary: Four physicians give voluntary service round the week which provides free medicines & service. Special food is also given free as & when advised by the doctor.

A mobile dispensaryA mobile dispensary served the surrounding areas twice a week. Vocational training in tailoring and embroidery: Free training in tailoring & handicrafts have been given to very poor section of the society.  


Relief Works

Relief worksWhenever need arises center conducts free distribution of blankets, saris, mats, medicines and food materials to the needy people. Welfare activities: Financial help on monthly basis is given for poor needy students & financial help to poor patients. Religious and cultural classes for ladies.
