Sri Sarada Math, Bhubaneswar, Orissa

Formally opened in June 1987 on gifted land at a central place on Puri Road near the famous Lingaraj Temple. The centre conducts daily puja and fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan and birthday celebrations of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other great world teachers.

A plot of land was acquired adjacent to the Math premises where a suitable building was constructed to run the school and other charitable activities.

The centre conducts a free primary school for poor children including neighbouring slum children, provides free tiffin, uniform and study materials.

Handicrafts

A charitable dispensary: four physicians give voluntary service round the week which provides free medicines and service. Special food is also given free as and when advised by the doctor.
Vocational training in tailoring and embroidery: free training in tailoring and handicrafts is given to poor ladies.

Relief Work

Relief workwhenever need arises centre conducts free distribution of blankets, saris, mats, medicines and food materials to the needy people.
Welfare activities: financial help on monthly basis is given for poor needy students & financial help to poor patients. Religious and cultural classes are conducted for ladies.
