Baladbandh, West Bengal
This new project was started on 20th May 2008, Buddhapurnima Day in the backward and remote village of Baladbandh on a plot of two acres of land gifted to the Mission for welfare activities. The project includes coaching classes for children, vocational training in tailoring, embroidery and other handicrafts for the village women, cultural classes etc. Presently 130 children are attending the coaching classes. Light tiffin is given to all of them. Occasional medical camps are arranged for the benefit of the poor villagers. Sarees, children’s garments etc. are distributed at the time of Durga Puja, and blankets and warm garments are given in winter.
