A summer camp for girls was conducted at the Nivedita Vidya Peetha of Sri Sarada Math, Bangalore

A summer camp for girls between 10 to 15 years of age was conducted at the Nivedita Vidya Peetha of Sri Sarada Math, Bangalore from 3rd to 14th April, 2017 from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 noon. 61 children from the School as well as from other schools participated in the camp. The children were trained in vedic chanting, Geeta chanting, bhajans, drawing, origami, jewellery making etc. Yoga was also taught. There was a magic show and a video on the life of Swami Vivekananda. Classes were conducted on personality development and character building.

On the 14th, the concluding day of the camp, the children demonstrated what they had learnt and also showed the items they had prepared. The programme closed with a quiz competition and prize distribution.

A summer camp for girl students from IX standard to degree college was also organized at Sri Sarada Math Nivedita Vidya Peetha at Junjaramanahalli, Tumkur district from 16th to 26th April, 2017. About 16 students from 3 nearby villages participated.

Speakers from different fields of work took classes on various subjects, such as women empowerment, personality development, home maker and art management, basics of computers, yoga, vedic chanting, present SBI accounts schemes, drawing, painting etc. There was also a video show on the lives of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother and Swamiji. On the last day, 26th April, there was a review of what the participants had learnt and a quiz competition followed by prize distribution.


Success Stories

109 candidates of Sister Nivedita Girls’ School appeared at the School Final Examination, 2017. All passed with high marks. 75 students obtained AA (90% and above), 30 students secured A+ and 4 got A. Many of them obtained 100% marks in Mathematics, Physical Science and Life Science. 107 students passed with Star marks.


67 students of Vivekananda Vidyabhavan appeared at the B.A. Part III (Hons.) Examination, 2017. 12 students got 1st class while 54 passed with second class. One student appeared at the B.Sc. Part III (Hons.) Examination and got second class. 19 students appeared at the B.A. Part III (General) Examination, 2017. 6 students passed with second division and 9 students with P division.


According to a survey of India Today and Nielsen Company for the year 2017, Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Vivekananda Vidyabhavan has been classified as one of the best ten colleges in Kolkata.


25 students of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Khonsa school appeared at the AISSE, 2017 (Class X). 24 students passed in First Division with high marks, 14 securing 95%, 4 students securing 93% and 2 of them securing 91%.
