We regret to record the passing away of Pravrajika Kshemaprana (Mukta), age 74, at Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Matribhavan on Sunday, the 16th August, 2015 at 7.15 a.m. The end was peaceful.

Since many years, she was suffering from various serious ailments.

A disciple of Swami Yatiswarananda, she joined the Order in 1965 at the headquarters and was initiated into Brahmacharya in 1971 by Pravrajika Bharatiprana. She was invested with sannyasa on 1.1.1978 by Pravrajika Mokshaprana. Apart from a total of 7½ years spent at the headquarters, she served at Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Vivekananda Vidyabhavan (1967-68), Sri Sarada Math centres at Thrissur and Chennai (1973-79) and Matribhavan (1971 and again from 1980 till the end), where she worked mainly in the accounts department.

Simple and direct, she tried to serve the Order as far as she could in spite of her poor health. May her soul rest in peace!

Pravrajika Ishwaraprana (Dipti)

We are sorry to announce the passing away of Pravrajika Ishwaraprana (Dipti), age 79, at Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Matribhavan on Friday, the 21st August, 2015 at 11 p.m. due to hyperglycemia.

A patient of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and chronic bronchial asthma, she also developed nerve ailments which numbed her right arm. However in spite of that, with determination she learnt to write with the left hand and kept Matribhavan accounts for many years.

A disciple of Swami Shankarananda, she joined Matribhavan in 1964 as a worker in the office and in 1970, was transferred to the headquarters where she spent one year. In 1971, she was initiated into Brahmacharya by Pravrajika Bharatiprana and was invested with sannyasa by Pravrajika Mokshaprana in 1976. In 1978, she was transferred to the Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Khonsa for about 8 months, after which she returned to Matribhavan in 1979, where she was appointed member of the Managing Committee in the office of Treasurer. She retired from her work (accounts department) in 2007.

Reserved and humble, she drew love and respect by her gentle behaviour and loving concern for all. Her efforts to serve the Order to her utmost capacity in spite of many physical ailments will be remembered. May her soul rest in peace!
