Sri Sarada Math, Chennai celebrated the third anniversary of its village centre at Salur

   

Sri Sarada Math, Chennai celebrated the third anniversary of its village centre at Salur, Kancheepuram district on 21st April, 2015 - Akshaya Tritiya day. There was special puja, homa, bhajans and traditional devotional folk songs by the tribal women. At 11.00 a.m. there was a public meeting. About 800 villagers from Salur, Ramapuram, Korapattu, Mampakkam, Anur and Vembakkam villages, besides devotees from Chennai attended the function. Representatives from each village spoke about the benefits of the medical camps, tailoring classes and tuition classes conducted by the Math at Salur, as well as how well the children were taught cleanliness, discipline and good conduct. Pravrajika Ramaprana, President of Sri Sarada Math, Chennai delivered the benedictory address after which lunch was served to all.

A one-day convention was organized by the Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, Thiruvananthapuram on the 12th April, 2015 at the Vivekananda Institute, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram. The programme started at 9.30 a.m. with prayer, rangapuja and a welcome dance. Pravrajika Chetanaprana, Secretary of the centre welcomed the audience, after which Pravrajika Bhavaniprana, President of Sri Sarada Math, Guntur, spoke on “Swamiji’s Ideal of Sannyasa for the Modern Age”. After the recital of the “Song of Sannyasin” by the students of the Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, Thiruvananthapuram, Sri V. Madhusoodana Nair, the renowned poet of Kerala, spoke on “Spirituality, the Basis of India’s Stability”. This was followed by the brilliant exposition of the theme “The Role of Women in Keeping India’s Spirituality Strong” by Pravrajika Ajayaprana, President of Sri Sarada Math, Thrissur. The morning session ended with bhajans. The afternoon session witnessed a wonderful dance-drama “Viswabhanu Vivekananda” by Saradamba Dance Academy, Kalady. The convention ended with the vote of thanks at 4.00 p.m.

Pravrajika Prabuddhaprana was invited to Singapore to give talks

Pravrajika Prabuddhaprana was invited to Singapore to give talks in a devotee's residence on April 21, 28 and May 2, 2015. The topic of the first two sessions was "Five tested methods of awakening spiritual consciousness" and the last session dealt with "Four approaches to the control of the mind". About 25 people attended the programme.
